Day 21 of my mental health themed A to Z Challenge is U for uncertainty.
Life is uncertain. You cannot predict what will happen. Nobody knows. But that doesn’t stop you worrying. Anxiety is uncertainty. It is wondering what will happen and what the future will hold.
Change can be unsettling. I know that my life will change in the next couple of months. My partner’s contract at work is due to finish soon and our life will change. He’s looking for a new job, which means we won’t be working at the same place anymore, we might have to move house or move back to my parents. All of that uncertainty means that I am worried, stressed and anxious. And I know that there is nothing I can do about it. I just have to wait.
