#FridayFive – 17th March 2017 6

Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude, so here’s my #FridayFive which are the five things that I am grateful for this week. Join in! What are you grateful for?

  1. I am grateful for a lovely walk in the woods with Milly last weekend. I also spent a lot of time snuggled up with her and blankets!
  2. This week I was grateful for my BuddyBox which arrived in the post. It really lifted my spirits and I’m looking forward to making the superhero eye mask!
  3. On Monday I met up with my sister for a lovely girly catch up which involved pizza, chocolate cake and stitching. I’m very grateful to have a good relationship with my sister and that she now lives close enough to meet up with her on a school night!
  4. I am grateful for blue skies! We’ve had a few really nice days which has made me feel like spring is really on it’s way.
  5. I have a day off work today. I’m tired and I feel like I’m getting a cold. But I’m still grateful. I’m grateful to see my friend Steph, to cuddle Milly the cat this morning and to cuddle my Milly the dog this afternoon!

Because it was my birthday on Thursday, I have an easy five this week.

    1) Grateful for my wife trudging round Norwich in order to buy me a new suit, then not complaining when I didn’t find one I liked!
    2) Grateful for making it to the pensionable age of 65!
    3) Grateful for all the good wishes, cards, and gifts I received.
    4) Grateful for excellent weather on my birthday trip to the seaside at Southwold.
    5) Grateful to all my lovely blogging friends for saying such nice things about me.

    Best wishes, Pete.

Two Millys in one day! That IS something to be grateful for! I am grateful for your BuddyBox, too, because through your post about it, I learned about a great organization, and you gave me a wonderful idea of something nice that I can do for a friend. I’m also grateful for snuggles with my cat, Pangur Ban, who curled up with me this afternoon when I wasn’t feeling very well. I’m grateful that I passed an evaluation at work last week with flying colors, and I’m grateful for my church group, which started meeting again recently. I didn’t realize how much I missed socializing with them and how uplifting it is to share our faith with each other and to encourage each other until we started meeting again after a long hiatus. Finally, I’m grateful for SPRING! It’s isn’t quite here yet (there was more snow last week!), but I know that it’s coming!

Lulu – I’m so sorry I didn’t reply to your comment until now! I’m really pleased that you have so many things to be grateful for! Has the snow stopped yet? x

Hi Lauren! No apologies needed! It takes me awhile to get back to comments, too. I am forever falling behind on keeping up with my WordPress friends!

Guess what! No more snow! I am hoping it stays away for good – at least until next year. I hope you are well and enjoying some early spring weather. It is great for walking! 😊
