Practicing Gratitude – #FridayFive 11th May 2018 2

This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude and I would love for you to share what you’re grateful for in the comments.

  1. This weekend I volunteered with my local mental health charity, West Norfolk Mind. I’m grateful that I was working with a lovely, welcoming group of people.
  2. I’m grateful that we have had a little heatwave, the sun and blue skies always make me feel better.
  3. Milly has been poorly. Her allergies have started up again and I think the heat made them worse. I’m grateful for the vet and the medicines that (fingers crossed) are making her better.
  4. At the weekend we visited a pub which has peacocks. They wander round the gardens, stand on the roof and make a lot of noise! I do not like birds AT ALL but was being brave until one started coming closer. All of a sudden I was terrified. I started to panic, tears appeared in my eyes and I was ready to run. I’m grateful for my dad standing in between me and the peacock to scare it away.
  5. I’m also super grateful to be nominated in the Mental Health Blogger Awards in the micro influencer category.

What are you grateful for?

Join in! I’d love to know. Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your own #FridayFive gratitude blogpost. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and week ahead.

Let me know what you think

Sorry to hear about Milly. I hope she is better soon. She looks sad wearing her cone! 🙂
Most of my five are weather related, as usual.

    1) Grateful to see the end of the relentless rain.
    2) Grateful for the spell of warm weather that has (almost) dried up the mud.
    3) Grateful for the Blue Tits nesting in our garden box. A delight to watch.
    4) Grateful for longer walks in better weather with Ollie.
    5) Grateful for living in a place where I can get out into the countryside so easily.

    Best wishes, Pete.

This week has been a bit of a hectic one so here goes :
    1. I’m grateful for the lovely dry weather over the weekend and beginning of the week. I was able to redesign my garden and prepare the ground ready for turf laying. I will admit though it was a bit hot for digging!

    2. I am also grateful to have the turf down and my garden is now summer ready!

    3. Hugo and I spent Sunday afternoon with my bestie and her dog Sadie. I was very grateful for time to relax and unwind after all the hard work on the garden.

    4. Tuesday was a return to Gressenhall F&W. Good to catch up with friends and of course do some voluntary work which I love.

    5. On Wednesday we got a phone call to say our puppy Teddie was ready to come to his new home. We were not supposed to get him until next week but the vet said he was ready. I am very grateful to have him in our lives.

    That’s all folks!
