This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. It’s been a difficult week with back pain, headaches and now bad toothache. But practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude so I’m determined to come up with my five things to be grateful for this week.
- Today I am grateful for the Dentist access centre. I was able to get emergency NHS treatment for my tooth.
- I’m grateful for soup! I’m struggling to eat at the moment so have had soup and have got soup planned for dinner. I’ve also got chocolate and ice cream!
- I’m grateful for painkillers – with the bad back, headaches and toothache unfortunately I’ve been taking quite a lot of them.
- I’m grateful for Milly, she’s curled up next to me right now!
- I’m grateful for my cosy cottage which is starting to feel very hygge. I’ve bought some houseplants and really like them.
What are you grateful for?

1. At the at the weekend Lucy came home and bought her new man with her. I am very grateful to see a smile on her face.
2. On Sunday we were invited to my great nieces naming day. Had a lovely afternoon and I’m grateful to them for both asking us and providing a lovely buffet!
3. On Wednesday I met up with Sue and Terry for a chat over coffee. I feel very grateful to have such good friends.

Aww I’m sorry you’re having a bad week, Lauren. Good for you for coming up with these 5 positives despite everything. And big hugs from me. I hope you soon start to feel better.
This week I am grateful for:
1. My partner being able to put the physio tape on my back – I really think it’s helping reduce my neck pain – and it’s saved me paying £40 to see the physio!
2. My partner bought me a present which arrived today – Fearn Cotton’s ‘Calm’ book. I love parcels!
3. Staying on track with my fitness and diet goals. I’ve lost more weight this week and am hitting my 10,000 steps per day, as well as doing a few workouts at home.
4. I finally got my head around some technical things on my blog and I am so happy!

Better luck next week, hopefully.
Best wishes, Pete.
