Practicing Gratitude – My #FridayFive 9th June 2016 4

Usually I write my #FridayFive on a Thursday evening and schedule it to be published on Friday morning. I wasn’t inspired to write it last night and this evening I forgot until after dinner, first episode of the new series of Orange is the New Black and a Cider!

Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude, so here’s my #FridayFive which are the five things that I am grateful for this week. Join in! What are you grateful for?

Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude. Join in with Lauren at Millys Guide to share your #FridayFive - what five things are you grateful for?

  1. Grateful that my sister had a good Hen Do. We had a fun time eating good food, drinking cocktails and wine, a pottery class and lots of giggles.
  2. I am really grateful that in the same weekend we managed to buy my Bridesmaid dress and shoes… not too long til the wedding now!
  3. I’m very grateful that my sister has found love, a brilliant man and that she is getting married soon.
  4. I am grateful that the sickness I suffered at the beginning of the week has stopped. I’ll never know for sure what caused it but as it went alongside tears and anxiety, I’m guessing it was stress.
  5. I am grateful that I live in a democracy where I have the right to vote and express my opinion. The world still feels a scary, uncertain place right now but I am proud of myself for doing my little bit by delivering leaflets for my chosen candidate to support.

I’m grateful for democracy and in particular the way young people are excited by politics now.
I’m grateful that we still have a trampoline in the garden and even though my teenage boy isn’t interested in it, I’ve been enjoying a few early evening bounces!
I’m grateful that my stress which causes some really uncomfortable symptoms has eased by spending a lot more time in Nature.
I’m grateful that a tricky situation is nearing a conclusion
I’m grateful that I live happily with my mum, dad, partner and son by the sea

Hi Clare, Thankyou for sharing your five things. I love that you have a trampoline, I always wanted one growing up so it might have to be something that I buy for myself now as a grown up! I read recently that trampolining is really good for you and great exercise. I always find that being in nature and by the sea is good for my stress levels so lucky you for having access to both 😊

Quite a positive week, so here goes.

    1) Grateful for the UK electorate, for making some good decisions.
    2) Grateful to Jeremy Corbyn for revitalising the Labour Party.
    3) Grateful for some nice weather, so my friend could join me for a very long dog walk.
    4) Grateful to all my blog followers, for sticking with me through a series of annoying WP glitches.
    5) Grateful for the continuing peace and quiet where we live.

    Best wishes, Pete.

Thankyou for joining in Pete, I always look forward to reading your five things. I’m also grateful for number 2, he has inspired me to take a greater interest in politics!
