Milly’s Guide to Happiness now has a logo! I absolutely adore it, of course it features my beautiful Milly and also my tattoo. I worked with a fabulous Norfolk designer who didn’t mind all of my edits and created this gorgeous design.
I hope that 2017 will be a good year for Milly’s Guide. I’ve come a long way since I first started writing in March. I didn’t know what I was going to write about or if anyone would read it! What I have found is that I love to connect to people. It brings a smile to my face when someone likes or comments on one of my posts. I love it when my words, my thoughts and suggestions or the photos of Milly helps someone, somewhere feel a little bit happier. I feel very honoured and grateful to have made some online blogger friends.
I’m planning to make some changes to the blog, mainly tweaking the design and the pages. I mainly access blogs via the wordpress reader, but I know many people don’t so I want to make it a bit more visually pleasing and of course it needs to match the logo now!
I’ve come to realise that being more open about my mental health is good for me. I’ve opened up fairly anonymously here on this blog. Recently I have spoken to a few friends and shared some posts on facebook and shock horror – nothing bad happened, only good things 🙂 I also know that by me being more open it can help other people. I’ve never normally been a New Years Resolution type of person (other than the I’ll eat healthier and lose some weight blah blah blah) but I think 2017 will be a year where my resolution will be to more open and honest about my mental health for the good of me and for others.
2017 will also see me sell handmade jewellery. Crafting is a big way that I help my mental health and I love to create something. I get so many compliments about a necklace that I made for myself that I am planning to start making more of them and selling them online and at local craft fairs.
I hope that you will continue to join and support Milly’s Guide in 2017. What are your plans?
