Practicing Gratitude – #FridayFive 1st June 2018 9


This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude and I would love for you to share what you’re grateful for in the comments.

  1. I am grateful for time with my friends. This week I’ve been to a BBQ which was lovely to chat and Milly ran round and around with their two dogs. I’ve also been to a wedding reception, it was so nice to see the Bride and Groom really happy and catch up with friends. Speaking of friends – I’ve been binge watching the tv series and have nearly finished season 2. It’s still so funny and I’m really enjoying watching it all again!
  2. I am grateful for the Bank Holiday and a lovely long weekend chilling with Josh and Milly. The weather was lovely and we had a BBQ, a few walks and caught up with our parents.
  3. I’m grateful that I have dog insurance – Milly has been back to the vets and has even more antibiotics. I hope they clear up the infection soon.
  4. Mental health and wellbeing are a key theme to a massive event in Norfolk, the Royal Norfolk Show and I’m grateful that it mental health is being given some recognition on a huge platform.
  5. I’m grateful that today is the 1st June. I’m looking forward to a sunny month filled with lots of fun!

    1) Like you, grateful to have a good vet. Taking Ollie there soon, as he has yet another ear infection!
    2) Grateful for not much rain when I have been out walking with Ollie.
    3) Grateful for the blogging community and their tremendous support of my blog.
    4) Grateful for the NHS, when my cousin was taken seriously ill with meningitis this week.
    5) Grateful for a peaceful weekend ahead, with no plans to have to rush around anywhere.

    Sounds a much more positive week Lauren! I hope Milly is on the mend soon bless her.

    My gratitude list this week:

    1. Grateful for lovely weather for the Bank Holiday weekend.
    2. Spent the Sunday having our first BBQ in our new home (well garden) and my family and Steve’s parents were there so I am so grateful everyone could come and we had a lovely time.
    3. I’m really grateful that Steve’s parents have had a lovely time (and weather) on their visit to Edinburgh which was a Christmas prezzie off us.
    4. I’m really grateful that I have my FitBit to log all the extra steps I am getting particularly on a weekend!
    5. I’m grateful for my amazing husband who just cheers me up when I am feeling low.
