Practicing Gratitude – #FridayFive 20th April 2018 16

This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude and I would love for you to share what you’re grateful for in the comments.

#FridayFive Practicing Gratitude Milly's Guide

  1. Last week I told you that I was grateful for the dentist, well this week I’m grateful that the toothache has pretty much stopped!
  2. At the weekend Josh developed bad tonsillitis, so it involved a trip to the out of hours doctors. So we were both taking antibiotics and with my painful mouth and his sore throat it was a very quiet house! I am grateful that Josh is feeling better and I’m hoping that we can have a much better weekend together!
  3. I am grateful for the lovely response that I got to my new blog post all about gratitude! I love to read your comments and I’m really pleased that you guys like practicing gratitude and sharing your #FridayFives with me!
  4. We’ve had a mini heatwave! It is completely mad that 6 weeks ago we had piles and piles of snow with Beast with the East and now it’s like a very hot summer’s day! I’m grateful for the sun and blue sky. I’m really looking forward to summer now.
  5. Finally, I’m grateful that my 5 minutes post on Shelley’s lovely Motivate Me blog is now live. It was interesting to think about her questions and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my story with her readers. Take a look because you can learn more about me, why I started blogging and what my favourite post is!

What are you grateful for?

Join in! I’d love to know. Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your own #FridayFive gratitude blogpost. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and week ahead.

Let me know what you think

On better form this week, so here goes.

    1) Grateful for the change in the weather, and to see the sun.
    2) Grateful for the mud drying up, so no wellies on the dog walk!
(At least until the next downpour. 🙂 )
    3) Grateful for some very supportive blogging friends.
    4) Grateful for my hay fever tablets that reduce the symptoms.
    5) Grateful as always for Ollie my dog, my constant companion.

    Best wishes, Pete.

Hi Lauren. I’m a bit late commenting this week. I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better, and sorry to hear that Josh has been poorly too. Here are my 5 things I am grateful for this week.

    1. It’s a very sore subject but my dad has been diagnosed with cancer but I am so so grateful that it has not spread to his bones. He is due to get some treatment soon so I’m keeping everything crossed that this works.

    2. I am grateful for being able to work outside this week – the fresh air and sun does wonders for our mental health.

    3. I was at my mum and dads and I found a new park to explore with my Westies. I’m grateful for finding new places and making our walks even more exciting for us all.

    4. I returned home to find my partner had filled up a jar of sweets for my home office. I am always grateful for the little things she does as well as her huge support for everything.

    5. I am grateful for my early starts this week (I’ve been getting up at 6:30) to have some ‘me time’. I’ve been reading and doing my blog work and it has thicken me a positive start to my day.

    Have a great weekend 😃

Aw yay this week sounds much much better for you Lauren. Glad the toothache is settling and you’ve enjoyed some sun. Loved your five minutes with blog too.

    Here’s what I’m grateful for

    1. Had a lovely two days away with work in London.
    2. The sun is out and everything feels more positive when the weather is good.
    3. I had a lovely meal with a friend from work and two of her oldest friends who totally made me feel involved. It was a lovely evening.
    4. I’m really grateful to have a lovely long weekend off with Steve and we’re going away for two nights Glamping.
    5. So happy that we’ve been able to get into the garden and rip out all the shrubbery. I’m scratched and aching but the garden already looks so much better!

I hope you have a lovely sunny weekend x

I’m glad you and Josh are on the mend!

    Here’s me:

    1. The space to write. Even if I have to make it myself.

    2. I’m super happy that Isla has found somewhere to channel her abundant energy.

    3. Less TV = time to get through my book pile.

    4. Coffee

    5. Connection with people, the internet is fundamentally good.
