Practicing Gratitude – #FridayFive 23rd March 2018 28

This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude and I would love for you to share what you’re grateful for in the comments.

  1. I’m grateful for Josh! He has been back from working in Australia for a week now and it’s been lovely to have him home.
  2. I have felt a bit down this week. I shared that on my facebook page and had lots of lovely comments so I am grateful for all of the likers and support that I received.
  3. I’m grateful for my red Doc Martin boots. I have enjoyed stomping around in my boots. There’s something about wearing them that empowers me, and makes me feel brave enough to face the world when I need a bit of an oomph.
  4. It’s been sunny this week and I am grateful for seeing the sun. I always feel better when the sky is blue and I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face.
  5. I’m grateful that it’s Friday and there is a lovely weekend ahead!

What are you grateful for?

Join in! I’d love to know. Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your own #FridayFive gratitude blogpost.

I have been quite down this week too. Maybe to do with the equinox? I’m grateful for

    1. Lighter and longer nights now that spring has apparently sprung.
    2. My lovely Mam gave my hubby and I a lift to and from Newcastle so we didn’t have to stress about parking on Wednesday.
    3. For my dads birthday I paid for him and my mam Togo to Dublin for a couple of days and they are having a fab time. Makes me very happy.
    4. I’m starting to finally feel better so this is making me feel so much happier.
    5. I’m spending the weekend with my hubby which makes me very grateful.

I hope next week is better Lauren.

Could be the equinox. Someone said there was something going on with storms on the sun which affects sleep – and I have had a few bad nights sleep which hasn’t helped. You’ve got a lovely 5 things to be grateful for. I hope you have a fab weekend and week ahead xx

    How did Josh like Australia?

This week I’m grateful for long train commutes where I actually get some time to myself to read. I’ve been reading a book that has completely helped change the way I think about some things that have been bugging me, and I feel so much better for it!

    Late this week.

    1) Grateful that my stepson has got a job, and will soon be moving out…
    2) Grateful for better weather this week. (Though it’s not going to last)
    3) Grateful to my blog followers for their support of a 4-part fiction serial.
    4) Grateful to a fellow dog-walker, for finding my lost walking stick.
    5) Grateful to old colleagues, for still keeping in touch after so long.

    Best wishes, Pete.

I love your number 3. Red Doc Martens Ahhh the comfort . I am greatful that I can hold my tongue, something that I could not do when I was younger.
Dressed warm in my parker not a shabby one i might say and short doc marten esq Mustang boots and fingerless gloves so I could drive. I drove the 21 miles to visit Mother, wrapped for the cold weather we had, only to be asked … Are you trying to be a lesbian today? While flaring her 86 yr old nostrils. You are dressing very slapdash and country dear”. My tongue was held firmly between my teeth as she put her face on and I tapped my gender specific foot.

I love wearing them! They make me feel strong and powerful! When I first wore them I was like what have I done?! So much money and I’m getting blisters but love them now they’re worn in 😀 Well done you for holding your tongue!

    I’m grateful for:
The hug of a friend that made me cry for no apparent reason
A medical procedure that hurt a lot less than I feared
The incredible beauty of meeting a kindred spirit and knowing, though your acquaintance has not been long, it will be.
    My dog
