This is my weekly blog post sharing what I am grateful for. Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude and I would love for you to share what you’re grateful for in the comments.
- I’m grateful that my back is finally starting to feel better. I have been in an awful lot of pain all week and it is literally just today that I am starting to feel a lot more normal.
- Josh’s contract at work finishes today. We found out this week that he has a new job and I am so grateful and proud of him.
- Every week I’m grateful for Milly and today is no different. Some weeks she doesn’t get a mention in my blogposts but I’m always grateful.
- I’ve been taking part in a #blurtselfcareathon on instagram. It is a photo challenge taking place throughout April. I’m grateful for the opportunity to think about self care in different ways and connect with like minded people.
- I’m grateful for this blog and all my blogging friends. I’ve spotted a few blogging award nominations which I wish I had been nominated for. It’s so easy to get caught up in the blogging game – number of followers, number of views, nominations, awards and money made – but ultimately I am grateful for this blog as my creative outlet, a place to share my feelings, my place to hopefully help other people and my way to connect to people around the world.
What are you grateful for?
Join in! I’d love to know. Let me know in the comments or leave a link to your own #FridayFive gratitude blogpost. I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend and week ahead.
Good to see the new hair colour, and Milly looks cosy too!
Here are my five. Some are ‘repeats’, but I’m still grateful for them. 🙂
1) Grateful for some sunny days, and a hint of Spring.
2) Grateful for being retired, (still) and being able to live in the countryside.
3) Grateful for regular contact with bloggers who have become my ‘virtual’ friends.
4) Grateful for good health, when so many don’t have it.
5) Grateful for peace and quiet, no deadlines, and time to think.
Best wishes, Pete.
Lovely five things Pete! I don’t think it matters of they are repeats – good to recognise them as things we are grateful for. I added the photo of me after your comment last week!
🙂 🙂
I am grateful for my husband. For so many reasons. But today I am grateful that he has found a dog for us to adopt. We met him today and get to bring him home on Sunday. We are so excited!!!
Yey! That’s excellent news about the dog, looking forward to seeing your adventures!
I’m so pleased your back pain is easing finally! I will be all over the nomination game next year!
1. I’m so grateful thank you so much for my Bloggers Bash nomination. It means the world thank you.
2. I am now Godmother again and so thankful for he opportunity.
3. I’m grateful for my amazing family who are always supportive.
4. I’m really lucky to have such an amazing husband who although often rubs me up the wrong way he’s always there for me.
5. Really grateful for a 4 day work week as I am yet again exhausted!
I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Thankyou Rachael. Typically since I wrote this post my back is a bit sore again… dosed up on painkillers and determined to enjoy the weekend. Lovely 5 things, hope you have a lovely weekend too x
Aw never. Hope it eases off again lovely x
I’m glad your back is better for you. Getting comfy with back pain is very difficult.
This week I am grateful for:
1. Having a relaxing holiday in the sun with my better half – although now I have the holiday blues! But I have some fantastic memories and it has done wonders for my mental health and well-being.
2. Being reunited with my Westies, Milo and Wes. Missing them is the worst part about being on holiday. But I know they had a fun time with the dog sitters.
3. Being nominated for the Most Informative (Original Content) Blogger – thank you so much! It has really given me confidence with my blog.
4. My non-fiction books. These last few weeks have been quite tough and the escapism in my books is needed at times.
5. Making sure my partner and I have things in the diary to look forward too.
They are a lovely five things to be grateful for. I’m really pleased that you had a lovely time on holiday and I’m looking forward to seeing your future blog posts. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
Hi Lauren, it’s nice to meet you. I found you from the BUYB group. I’m glad to hear that your back is feeling better. Today I’m grateful for the wonderful blogging community we have and all the friends I made in it.
Hi Phil, nice to meet you too! It’s a lovely group to be part of and be grateful for 😀
I am grateful for your blog xx You always make me think of the nicer side of life when things get tough.
Thankyou so much! That’s such a lovely comment to get, I’m very pleased you like my blog and it’s able to pick you up when you need it 😊
Oooh I am loving your new hair too! I am glad your back is feeling a bit better, I hope that makes everything a bit nicer.
Today I am grateful for crumpets.
A few weeks ago I mentioned to my husband that one of the few things I miss from the UK is a good crumpet. Then I forgot about it. This morning, he woke up early to start making bread…so now while I’m reading through the BUYB blogs he’s only gone and made some crumpets! I think I just fell in love all over again. <3
Aww that is such a lovely thing to do! Brilliant husband! Hope they’re super yummy 😋
They are yummy, bu not quite as full of holes as the ones from the supermarkets back home.
Still, they made me soo happy!
1. Family time away from our house.
2. The blogging community.
3. Bookstores.
4. Random conversations with strangers.
That’s only four things Lorna!!! Clues in the name 😂 thanks for sharing x
No one reads me for my counting, though.
True 😂
