Practicing gratitude is supposed to lead to happiness and a more positive attitude. Join in with Lauren at Millys Guide to share your #FridayFive - what five things are you grateful for?

  1. Last weekend Josh was very poorly and we missed a family gathering. I was very upset to miss it but am grateful that the illness didn’t last long and that he is now much better.
  2. I am grateful that my super busy week at work went well and is over.
  3. I’m also grateful that I have today off work, yey for a four day week! And yey for a three day weekend and lovely plans with friends!
  4. This week Josh has found a new job. His fixed term contract came to an end a month ago, so he’s been busy job hunting, applying and interviewing. It’s all paid off! He has been given a really great opportunity and I’m very happy for him. Only thing is it now involves a change in living circumstances so that we can stay together, he will be having a long commute and we will be moving house.
  5. I’m grateful for reading. I have always loved reading and used to consume books all the time as a child and teenager. Ever since university and reading books was about work not pleasure I haven’t read as much. Over the past week that has changed. Thanks to a long train journey, a quiet weekend while Josh was poorly and a bus journey I’ve read two books and started my third!

Well done to Josh on the new job. I hope your move isn’t too stressful. Will you stop being my ‘neighbour’ now?
I am struggling this week, as I have been down with that virus AGAIN. Seems like it will never go away.

    1) Grateful for a good vet, who sorted out Ollie’s broken tooth and itchy rash.
    2) Grateful for a return to summer weather, with brighter days, and warm evenings.
    3) Grateful for the continuing engagement with my great blogging community.
    4) Grateful for the tablets that keep down the worst of the symptoms from this virus.
    5) Grateful for going out to eat this Saturday, to get a night away from cooking for a change.

    Best wishes, Pete.

Thankyou Pete. I will stop being your neighbour, but will be driving to Beetley everyday for work! Plan is to move to around Downham Market so Josh can commute to London and I can drive to work still. Early days, but hopefully it will all work itself out. Hope you manage to fight off the virus x

Thanks, Lauren. There are some good back roads to Downham Market from here, as you know. I hope it all works out for you. At least you will have a station nearby! 🙂
I didn’t realise that there was anywhere to work in Beetley, except the school. One of these days, you must arrange to meet Ollie. (And me 🙂 )
