If we were catching up over a drink (you can drink coffee, but I’ll be drinking Diet Coke!)
I’d tell you about Milly and that she’s been to the vets this week. She’s had a poorly paw but the antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and salt water baths for her foot have been helping. I would tell you about my restful weekend, watching lots of Good Wife, watching rugby in the pub, going out for a curry and now blogging. We’ve had a little bit of snow here, it’s been grey and cold and definitely feels like a duvet weekend! I’ve got some new books to read and its lovely to cosy up and block out the world.
I would tell you about how the first Mental Health Mates walk went in Norwich. After the walk I felt a bit low and exhausted and really needed to rest. I’ve had a little bit of time to recuperate and reflect and I’m now looking forward to the next one.
I would tell you that I’m trying to practice more gratitude. I have started a regular post on a Friday sharing the five things that I am grateful for from that week. Unsurprisingly Milly has featured a lot! So have my family, friends and blogging friends! I would tell you about the massage and manicure I had on Friday night and that they will definitely be featuring in next weeks #FridayFive gratitude list!
I hope that Milly’s paw clears up soon.
Ollie is five today, and has had birthday treats.
I watched The Good Wife from the start, and stuck with every episode, right until the end. Unusual for me, to enjoy that sort of US TV show so much. But it was very good indeed.
Best wishes, Pete.
Happy Birthday Ollie! No spoilers please Pete, I’m watching season 7!
My lips are sealed. I loved Archie Panjabi in that new season though.
Pete! That’s a spoiler!!! I didn’t know she come back in the last season!
I wasn’t talking about the last season, I get confused by the numbers…Sorry to spoil anything. I am going to shut about The Good Wife now! 🙂
Hope Milly and you are resting on this Sunday. I’d bring some of the cake I made. Goes well with coffee, tea or soda. 🙂
Love the gratitude idea. I’ll have to participate, too!
Happy week!
Hi Tara – hope you had a good rest of the weekend and a good week. I’ll look forward to seeing your gratitude list, it would be lovely for you to join in 🙂
I am happy Milly’s are getting better. Kato still favors one pawcwhen he has been on it for awhile. Think Positive! Hugs!
Thankyou! Hope you have a good week.
Hope Milly heals completely. I adored the Good Wife – no, won’t spoil a thing for you!
I’ve been keeping a gratitude journal for years, took a break and then restarted realising that it truly made me feel differently about life in general. It is a great practice to have! Once a week, once a day, once a whatever works for you!
Thanks for your comment. She seems to be much better. I love the Good Wife – still got half of the last series to go. Only a few weeks in to practising gratitude, sometimes its a challenge but I’ve been able to find five things every week so far. It’s good to hear that you think it made a difference to your life. I’m hoping it will do the same for me!
I’m sure it will!
